Mercedes-Benz presented the 6th generation of the SL-Class in 2012 with the R231. The most powerful model in this series was equipped with a new 4.7-liter twin-turbo V8 engine from Mercedes-Benz, delivering 435 hp. An AMG version of the roadster has also been announced. The new SL is 140 kg lighter than its predecessor thanks to an almost all-aluminum construction.
